Nadia Braxton & her Three Kids Found Shot to Death in Kenner, La., Home, No Suspect or Motive

Nadia Braxton & her three kids, ages 12 to six months, found shot to death in their Kenner, La., home by husband as he returned home from work, police have no suspect or motive.

SHOCK: A father, who resides in the New Orleans suburb of Kenner, told police he returned home from work and found his wife, Nadia Braxton, and three children -- Kayla Peters, 12; Nayax Peters, 1 1/2 years old; and six month old Nyla Peters -- shot to death. It should be noted that police said they have no suspect or motive in this tragedy.

Police Chief Steve Caraway told WWLTV that the father came home from work and called out for his children, but didn't hear anything. He then found all three of them and his wife dead in an upstairs bedroom, lying on the bed. A gun was found at the bottom of the bed.

The mother, whose age has not been released, suffered a gunshot wound to her forehead, Caraway said. The 1-year-old and the 6-month-old also both suffered gunshot wounds to the forehead. The coroner is on the scene and is trying to determine where the 12-year-old was shot. Source

Well, investigators will be able to determine if the gunshot wound to the head of the mother was self-inflicted or was done by someone else. You know the first person investigators will look at is the husband, so I hope he has an airtight alibi and will be ruled out quickly, if he wasn't the shooter. May the souls of these children rest in peace. They did not deserve the hand they were dealt.

UPDATE#1:  Investigators now believe this was a murder-suicide in which the mother, Nadia Braxton, killed her kids before turning the gun on  herself. This is being billed as one of the deadliest events in Kenner this year.
