Sen. Ron Paul says he's "pretty well-equipped" to beat our first black president in 2012, though he wouldn't have voted for 1964 Civil Rights Act.
Sen. Ron Paul says "I would say I'm pretty well-equipped to be president." This is coming from the man who wants to legalize heroin, eliminate FEMA, among other things. He also said he wouldn't have voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964. That will tell them Ron, how much you care about racial justice and equality in this country. Right, that makes you the best choice for the White House -- someone who alienates, not unites. His son, Rand Paul, is equally crazy, comparing healthcare to slavery, but as they say, the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. Wait, he made the same argument too -- says Medicare and Social Security are unconstitutional, compares them to slavery. It's amazing to me that he and his son could have the hubris to talk about slavery in such a matter-of-fact manner, without any compassion for what it meant for blacks in this country.Watch the video:
