Finnish MP Teuvo Hakkarainen Reprimanded for "Negroes" Comment About Arriving Immigrants

Finland isn't a country you hear very much about in the news, so naturally my interest was piqued when I came across an article dealing with racial insensitivity there. According to Yle, the True Finns Party chairman Timo Soini recently reprimanded one of his MPs after a racially insensitive comment about race. During an interview with the newspaper Helsingin Sonamat, new MP Teuvo Hakkarainen complained about “Negroes” arriving at Finland’s borders and warned that minarets would arise all over Helsinki and disturb people’s peace with calls to prayer. He also imitated a call to prayer.
