Eagles Quarterback Michael Vick to Deliver Commencement Address at Philadelphia School for Troubled Kids

Isn't Eagles quarterback Michael Vick the perfect person to deliver commencement speech to students at Camelot Schools for troubled kids after rising above his circumstances & getting second chance?

Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will deliver the commencement address at the Camelot School in Philadelphia and that has ruffled the feathers of some people. What is not being discussed is the fact that the students played a role in selecting Vick as their speaker, so I'm not sure why there will be an issue with him speaking there. I am all for second chances and how is he expected to rehabilitate himself if every time he wants to do something positive, the critics literally jump on his back?

Hypocrisy rules the day for blacks and Latinos in getting second chances after paying their debt to society.

According to Philadelphia Sports Daily, Camelot works in partnership with the Philadelphia school district, offers traditions services for children grappling with behavioral and emotions issues to reintegrate them into the public school system. Camelot Schools also offers an accelerated program for over-aged and under credited students, who dropped out or are at risk of dropping out of school, writes Philadelphia Sports Daily.

So, what's the problem with Vick delivering a speech to these kids next month?

Michael Vick paid his debt to society and is doing the right thing with his life -- being productive. He is proof that you can rise above your circumstances and your past shouldn't dictate your future, especially if you have paid your debt to society and want to do the right thing. We have all made bad decisions, but should you be held accountable for that decision for the rest of your life? There are caveats. Of course I am not referring to a pedophile, rapist or murderer. We can't give people like Robert Downey Jr. and Lindsey Lohan a pass, but hold Michael Vick to a higher standard.
