Is New Dating Site's Survey Reinforcing Negative Stereotypes About Blacks?
New dating site survey is perpetuating some negative stereotypes about blacks, whites, Asians and Hispanics. Well, that depends on who you ask. I'll stick to the stereotypes about blacks. Black guys like or are: soul food, ESPN, playing basketball, Menace to Society, “tall, dark, and handsome,” “god-fearing,” Mos Def, rapping, Lupe Fiasco. Black women like or are: soul food, The Color Purple, “god-fearing,” gospel, Alicia Keys, neo soul, lip gloss, and “the coldest winter ever.”
