Cleburne City Manager Chester Nolen said at least three people were killed and at least 10 more were missing. Johnson County Emergency Management Coordinator Jack Snow told the Associated Press that about six people were transported to hospitals. He said officials believe the gas line was struck with a digging machine.
Massive flames and a huge plume of smoke could be seen in the area Monday afternoon. Nolen said a company was working to turn off the gas to the ruptured line, but he was unsure how long it would take.
