Etta James Takes Shots at Beyoncé and President Obama Over Her Signature Song "At Last"

There's a feud brewing between legendary singer Etta James and Beyonce. President Obama is also being fingered. Beyoncé's rendition of "At Last" at the presidential inauguration hit a sour note with Ms. James, the woman who made the song famous. At a concert last week in Seattle, the legendary Ms. James slammed Beyoncé for serenading President Obama with her signature song.
"I tell you that woman he had singing for him, singing my song, she gonna get her ass whupped," James told an audience at the Paramount Theatre, sarcastically calling her "The great Beyoncé." James didn't finish there.

"I can't stand Beyoncé," she spit out on an audio clip posted on Allhiphop.com, adding that Beyoncé "had no business ... singing my song that I been singing forever." Source: NY Daily News
You will recall that on inauguration night, Beyoncé kicked off the Neighborhood Ball with an emotional performance of "At Last." I really didn't think that she should have been the one to occupy a front-row seat when there are so many other singers such as Patti Labelle, Gladys Knight, Jennifer Hudson, Nancy Wilson and others including Etta James, to serenade them on their first dance of the night. They dissed Etta, plain and simple.

I am, however, taken aback by Ms. James' anger towards President Obama. Apparently she isn't too fond of President Obama from comments she made on the audio clip.
"You know your President, right? You know the one with the big ears?" she asked the audience. "He ain't my President." Source: NY Daily News
So she is a little miffed, there's still no reason to sink to such a low level. Come on Etta, don't be a hater, we all know Beyonce's voice is weak compared to many other singers, including you.
