Michelle Malkin Decries Pride African Americans Feel About Barack Obam's Historical Ascent to the Presidency

Folks, Michelle Malkin has spewed so much venom that I was patiently waiting for her to take offense to blacks feeling a sense of pride about Barack Obama's accomplishment. Somehow she is insulting decent people in this country who are genuinely happy that an African American was elected by so many people, white, black, Latino, Indian, Muslim, Arab and yes, even Filipino, as their next president. Since when is a rapper the moral authority for every black person in this country? I have always been very critical of the lyrics in many rap songs and I must say that Young Jeezy should be ashamed to denigrate the honor that comes from Barack Obama being our first African American President. The problem is, Michelle Malkin is tying Barack Obama to these people and that is simply unfounded and just plain wrong. So, to be fair, let me say that apparently, D. L. Hughley, David Alan Grier, Young Jeezy, Ludacris and all the rappers that denigrate women, whites or perpetuate the negative stereotypes that serve to divide us, rather than unite us, ought to be ashamed. However, I do find Michelle Malkin a hypocrite because she is from an immigrant family who came to America on student visas. She acts as though she is the moral compass for America.

Below is a portion of her commentary entitled "New National Anthem: My President is Black."


According to Michelle Malkin: There is a new national slogan/anthem catching on among America’s youth. It’s a popular rap song, a t-shirt, and a taunting chant.

It is this: “MY PRESIDENT IS BLACK.”

Go ahead and Google it. They’re blasting it on the streets of Chicago, saying it like a prayer in Durham, singing it on campus, and putting it on their kids’ clothes in Harlem.

Scenes like this were repeated across the country after Election Day:

Outside, cars drove across campus, honking triumphal horns as passengers leaned out windows heralding the news of Obama’s unprecedented win. Students giddily repeated the refrain, “My president is black.”

You couldn’t find a single copy of the Chicago Tribune or Chicago Sun-Times on newsstands or in boxes anywhere in the city, from Hyde Park up to Evanston. And at least two tricked-out cars on shiny rims that rolled slowly down Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in the historic Bronzeville neighborhood on the city’s gritty South Side were blasting what appeared to be the city’s new unofficial hip-hop presidential anthem: Young Jeezy’s “My President Is Black.”

The energy around Benedict’s campus was palpable Wednesday, as students walking to and from classes excitedly discussed the election, some shouting “President Obama!” and singing lyrics to a popular song about Obama by the rapper Young Jeezy, “My President is Black.”

So, the hating has started. For what it is worth, Barack Obama's presidency shows that most Americans aren't looking at the color of one's skin and Michelle Malkin, who is Filipino, should be happy that history has been made in America. To read more, CLICK HERE....
